HYDRO TURBINE
Through self-independently research and development, joint-manufacturing, technology importation, HEC has comprehensively and systemically applied international universal commercial software and self-independently developped software to determine the turbine's technical performance and parameters, along with the use of the turbine program design system. Meanwhile, system of PDM is applied to management of the design data.
With 55 years' persistent endeavor, the design and manufacture of hydro-tubine has been improved from 0,8 MW of unit capacity to batch of 700 MW sets of unit capacity. The turbine runner is made larger and larger. For Francis runner, it is enlarged from 1.2m to Three Gorges' 10.4m, for Kaplan runner to 10,4m, for Bulb turbine runner to 7,5m. Variety of products expands from Francis, Kaplan, Deriaz, Pelton to Bulb turbine, large-scale pump and reversible pump-turbine. Technical difficulty and manufacture of many products are domestic top-ranking, and first class in the world. All these achivements accomplished pesent the great technology progress and an international advanced level.
Long term practice and continuous R&D in aspects of electromagnetic calculation, air cooling system calculation and stiffness-strength calculation, and assure the technology progress and development of hydro-generator. Along with the increasing unit capacity of hydro-generator. HEC starts the research on air-cooled ventilation system for large-scale hydro-generator of 700MW, and vapor-cooling system for 800MW generator on the basis of water inner-cooling technology. Among them, none-fan, double circuit, radial cooling system has been widely used on the design of huge hydro-generators of projects of Long Tan, Right Bank of Three Gorges, Xiao Wan and La Xiwa.
HEC's insulation technology has gained the achivement on the following aspects: hydroelectric generator main insulation, relevant insulation and insulation technology. Production of F class epoxy copper mica insulation system has been applied to large hydroelectric generator which voltage class is 15,75~20kV. Moreover, the key technic index of 24kV or 27kV voltage class insulation system reaches or exceeds the advanced level of foreign countries.
